When I moved to Austin 87, I was seven and had never seen more water than what fits in a back yard kiddie pool. (Lubbock is kinda dry) Some friends of my parents took us to Lake Travis, and I remember asking "Is that the ocean?"
Haha! Lubbock? I used to live there, years ago...went to grad school there and taught there. I actually moved from Lubbock to Los Angeles--talk about a change! It was an experience, to say the least. I live nearby...not Lake Travis. I'll send you an email with more info. Don't want all those celebrities I've been proposing to showing up on my doorstep--at least not all at once. ; )
