That one's been taken care of! I found a house last week and I'm signing the contracts today...you may have a visit to the lake in your future sometime this summer. : )

When I moved to Austin 87, I was seven and had never seen more water than what fits in a back yard kiddie pool. (Lubbock is kinda dry) Some friends of my parents took us to Lake Travis, and I remember asking "Is that the ocean?"

Haha! Lubbock? I used to live there, years ago...went to grad school there and taught there. I actually moved from Lubbock to Los Angeles--talk about a change! It was an experience, to say the least. I live nearby...not Lake Travis. I'll send you an email with more info. Don't want all those celebrities I've been proposing to showing up on my doorstep--at least not all at once. ; )

today is your birthday, and i wish you well. i've been lurking around your journal and watching you post for awhile now, and its been a great experience for me. today seemed like the perfect time to post, so here i am.

i've been refreshed to learn what a fiercly strong and beautiful, independent woman you are! more chicks should be intelligent and tough like you. the world would be a better place, for sure.

so anyway, this was intended to be a happy birthday cate post, and with that, happy birthday to you. i wish you the best.

Ditto to you on the beautiful independent woman! I remember the first journal entry I read of yours about the Jehovah's Witness showing up on your doorstep...still makes me chuckle. I've enjoyed every word thereafter--wit and wisdom are always such a nice combination. Cool moms rock! ; )

I always wanted to be able to know if I could wish for more wishes, or is that cheating? I would wish for another 3 and my final one would be for another 3 on and on forever, wishing lovely things, peace and happiness for me, mine and yours. I'd also wish for an everlasting pint of guiness, and when I'd drunk it, I'd wish for another.
