A sign of better times...a few months ago, I would have been in court trying whatever nasty felony of the week was on the docket. A few weeks ago, I would have been wandering around the house in tears, wondering if I had made the biggest mistake of my life by moving here. Now I'm sitting home in my pajamas, hair all catawampus, eating spinach dip and corn chips for breakfast, working on the second chapter of my novel. Finally.


And don't go all Simon on me, Nick. I'm no writer. I'm just a person who likes to write. Really. ; - P

I'm probably going to start looking for part-time work fairly soon, so I'm packing every bit of laziness and junk food breakfasts that I can into the next few weeks!

I didn't know, I couldn't remember you mentioning what he did. I had a fantasy that the two of you were independently wealthy, or at any rate had enough to get by if you monitored it carefully. Ah well.

Ha! I wish I could impose your fantasy on my life! We're not nearly so glamorous...He's a middle manager for a large company...near as I can tell, his work is sort of like a Dilbert comic.
