Bittersweet & Peppermint

My children are in Texas. Seems they took the holidays with them when they left. I knew their leaving would be hard for me, but there's something so primal about their being gone. It leaves me wanting to wander in circles and scratch the ground for their scent.

honey, that never goes away - but it does get a little easier with time. It's really hard, and I'm sorry you're experiencing it.

I keep telling myself the first time is the hardest. It's actually been better over the last couple of days. The first days were definitely the hardest.
