The Court of Appeals Has Issued Cate a Reprieve!

Yippeeeeeee!!! The appellate brief I thought I'd have to write this weekend can wait. I called Friday to check on the submission date (when the briefs actually go to the justices for consideration) and it hasn't even been set. That means, in practical terms, that I have at least another month to get it done. My weekend prospects are greatly improved.
