The End of Days

Although I have another week until my "official" departure, today is my last day in court as a felony prosecutor. It feels strange and sad in some ways. In other ways, I'm starting to feel a giddy high of relief, like I'm finally reaching the finish line of an excruciatingly long race. Everything is a bit off and I don't know if it would feel better to laugh or cry.

Easy to understand how you'd have mixed feelings and maybe even miss it. But moving will also be wonderful.

The kids are going early next week and I'm a few days behind them with the pets and my mother.

laugh, and laugh some more; while important and rewarding, that line of work often tilts life in the direction of tears.
Tip those scales towards lightening your spirit for awhile. After all, that line of work teaches a person just how important it is to enjoy and make the most out of life- as much as possible.
