PACKING PARTY
MAY 15-16

Since I am hardly recovered from unpacking the thousands of pounds of shit I hauled here from Texas, the thought of packing up all that stuff again by myself is just too much for me to bear. So I decided that instead of approaching this as yet another ordeal that I'm going to have to get through all alone, I would put out a call to everyone close-by who wants to help me pack. I wouldn't be asking for the help if I didn't seriously need it. I also think that it would definitely lift my spirits to see everyone and at least show off what I did with this house to someone, even if it's only going to last five minutes. I'm right on a train route from NYC. Penn Station will get you practically to my doorstep. I have plenty of room for overnight guests and I figure we can have all the beer/wine/pizza we can stand.

It's hard for me to simply ask for help, but I really need it now. I know some of you may be able to help me get things done before/after this date, but I definitely want to attack a lot of the packing with a group effort. I also want to celebrate the fact that I am going home, rather than mourn the fact that I'm leaving. I have no regrets in coming here. It was worth every bit of trouble just to deepen the friendships that are now connected with flesh and blood people, rather than words on a computer screen.
