What’s your favorite sexual position?
Anything that doesn't require gymnastics and/or extraordinary coordination.

Leonard Cohen, Donovan, or Bob Dylan?
Cohen

Have you ever let anybody pee on you?
Nope...unless a scared shitless cat in my lap during a road trip qualifies.

Do you think Japan is "cool"?
I love sumo wrestling...but that's about the extent of my fascination.

What brand of beer do you favor?
None. I don't like beer.

Mac or PC? Why?
PC...because I'm still a DOS person at heart.

What’s your favorite cable channel?
American Movie Classics

Who is your favorite Sci-Fi writer?
Frank Hebert

Live or recorded music? Why?
Recorded. I can listen to it in my underwear.

What is best about the pop culture of the 60s? 70s? 80s? 90s?
60s: righteous indignation, hippies, Laugh-In, space, imagination, communes, music, drive-ins
70s: futurism, M*A*S*H, cb radios, Redford & Newman, pantsuits, crochet, sweathogs, Sex Pistols
80s: baby goths, Breakfast Club, Madonna, hair bands, Valley girls, Mr.T, "You are no John Kennedy"
90s: Joey Buttafuoco, Seattle music scene, Twin Peaks, thigh-highs, Ninja Turtles, "Run, OJ, Run!"

Vintage clothing or latest designer labels?
Vintage, garage sale, home sewn....whatever's cheap and looks good.

How did you lose your virginity?
In that typical gangly, no-clue, totally "THAT was what the big deal has been all this time? What a gyp!" kinda way.

What movie do you watch repeatedly?
Harold & Maude

What drug do you take repeatedly? Why?
The only drugs I do are caffeine and nicotine. I have no patience or use for the others.

Why are you so into LJ?
I'm a writer by nature, I am fascinated by stories, and I find the people here to be smarter and more interesting than elsewhere on the 'net.

What would you like to know about "Kalemachka"?
How her photos look like Mexican movie star stills from the 60s (and I mean that as a compliment...beautiful) when she is so darn young!???

Why the internet? Why not real life?
Why do people presume that one always replaces the other? I find them to be quite complimentary.

Must... resist... urge... to fill out... quizes...

BTW, my dear Cate, you get such huge points for picking the Who. :)

ARRRGH! I CAN'T RESIST!

What?s your favorite sexual position?
All of them.

Leonard Cohen, Donovan, or Bob Dylan?
Dylan, but he only beats out Cohen by a hair.

Have you ever let anybody pee on you?
Only metaphorically.

Do you think Japan is "cool"?
Does an affection for Haruki Murakami and Godzilla films count?

What brand of beer do you favor?
Anchor Steam, on the rare occasions I feel like one.

Mac or PC? Why?
PC. Do I *look* like a graphic artist?

What?s your favorite cable channel?
Tie: Turner Classic Movies and C-SPAN.

Who is your favorite Sci-Fi writer?
Phillip K. Dick

Live or recorded music? Why?
Recorded, natch. Because it tranports you in a way that live music never does. Unless it's live music that you've already listened to a thousand times on record.

What is best about the pop culture of the 60s? 70s? 80s? 90s?

60s: Frank Sinatra's "September of My Years." Oh, and that whole social revolution thing that made everyone much less uptight.

70s: There's nothing good about the 70s. Except for Punk. Yeah, ok, and David Bowie. And the rise of Scorsese, Coppola, Altman, et al, in film. Okay, there were a few things, but you didn't hear it from me.

80s: Actually, the 70s are looking better with every passing minute.

90s: You're lookin' at at it.

Vintage clothing or latest designer labels?
Vintage. Not that I can find anything any more that actually fits. Apparently, all men in the past were jockeys.

How did you lose your virginity?
To my first serious girlfriend at the age of 18. Awwwwww...

What movie do you watch repeatedly?
Anything by the Marx Brothers.

What drug do you take repeatedly? Why?
Define "repeatedly." Hmmm... does sinus pain medication count?

Why are you so into LJ?
It forces me to write fiction. Plus, what lovely, lovely people you all are.

What would you like to know about "Catelin"?
Hmmm... you know, I really can't say in public. :)

Why the internet? Why not real life?
As if there's a difference. Do you really think there isn't flesh and blood on the other side of the ether?

If you want to sing out, sing out...

One of the best compliments I ever got was from a friend of mine who told me that I reminded her of a "Maude-in-Progress." (Probably because I'm a short redhead...but I didn't care what the rationale was!) There's so many things about that movie that I love on so many different levels. I know I am a different person because of it...which is probably one of the best compliments I could give any piece of art. : )

90's: Ninja Turtles

OK... I am probably gonna sound like a complete geek when I say this but the ninja turtles actually came out in the late 80's

Re: 90's: Ninja Turtles

Ya... I had mixed feelings also.... I am a big trivia buff and that part of me is proud but I am also a big geek... and that part of me is hanging my head...

I saw "Harold and Maude" when I was in college. My artsy design teacher made us watch it, but it actually wasn't too bad. Funny and bizarre.

I could have done without the bedroom scene, however. Just some imagery I didn't want swirling around my brain.

I don't remember the first time I saw this...I think it was probably about 1978 or so. I think it was re-released around then on the midnight movie circuit. My parents are the ones who took me to see it first. : )
