My children are in the sky, probably about an hour away from Newark by now. Two more days of work, mostly just to say goodbye. My brother (oh the stories I could tell about my brother...he is an oddly amusing, often heartbreaking, and sometimes terrifying combination of Falstaff, King of the Hill, and Apocalypse Now) and his son are coming to help me unload boxes from my stuffed-to-the-brim station wagon. We're probably going to go into town to see Underworld after that. I've got company at the Little House (TM) until I leave due to creepy vibes from the ex. Not that he'd try anything, but I always trust my instincts and I figure that I will enjoy the company and the peace of mind instead of living my last days here on edge. I don't want to end my residency in Texas with a shooting, so I'm all for avoiding problems, rather than dealing with them on the front door step....er, I mean...inside the front hallway. (It's a joke!) This time next week, I'll be making my way north with my mother and my menagerie!

I'm anxious to get there, especially now that the boys are there. We'll definitely have to get together once things settle down a bit.

Oh, no. They're being spoiled rotten by David's parents. : ) They're happy as can be. I think that the school transition may be a little stressful, but they're pretty easygoing little guys so I'm sure they'll adjust well. I'm giving them this week as a little vacation and then I'll enroll them once I get there.
