This is one of my favorites even though the quality isn't the best. It shows my oldest's impish sense of humor and my little one's chubby "King of the World" grin. I smile every time I look at it! : )
I made those!! : ) I take the kids to the Renaissance Festival every year. To them, it's all real and magical. Always worth the trip. This year, the Faery King gave my oldest a small sliver of polished agate. My son immediately proclaimed that he'd been given a "fairy wing" and it's been placed in his box of treasures that he keeps by his bed for safekeeping. My kids are what makes my heart beat. : )
I know just what you mean! I don't know what my life would be without my son. I had him when I was 19 though, so I feel like I have lots of living to do still. People always ask when we are going to have more kids and I tell them "when I'm 30!" They don't understand why we'd want to wait so long.
My mother was 19 when she had me. Her and my dad are still together, happy as loons. I can't imagine having such a responsibility at that age. For me, I know I did the right thing in waiting. I would have been a horrible mother when I was 19. I do think, though, that some women are quite capable of taking care of children at 19 or so and do a damn good job of it. My mom did a great job. We sort of grew up together, my parents and I. : )
