I spent a wonderful day with [livejournal.com profile] tsarina shopping and eating. We found the perfect dress for her wedding! We also stuffed ourselves with Italian food and began toying with the idea of creating an RPG based on artists/writers/other assorted eccentrics from the twenties and thirties. More about that when both of us are less busy, but it's definitely something that we'll talk about again. My tattoo appointment was postponed to after Labor Day for all sorts of reasons, one of which being that someone crashed into the front of the shop around 3am yesterday morning. I'm almost done, probably another hour or so at the most to go. There was so much more to the day, but I'm too tired to write more.

Dayum!

Let me be the first to say that's a nice view! What's still left to do in the last sitting?

Re: Dayum!

Thanks. : ) Mostly just little details left---things like coloring in the claws, and putting eyeballs in, etc. Then we'll let it sit for a while and do one last round of touch-up.

D'oh! I'm half-asleep or something. Labor Day is in the future.

It looks pretty darned done to me, though! Ver' nice, good lady!

Time traveling again? ; ) Yeah, we're so close to being done that I have a hard time forcing myself to sit for long since I can see the end in sight!

I love how different some of the images are but how well the fit together -- and how they curve and arch to compliment your body. Beautiful!

RPG=Rocket Propelled Grenade

How in the world would you make one of those from artists/writers/other assorted eccentrics from the twenties and thirties?

Heh! Sometimes I can't believe that I actually have my entire back tattooed! Even though it's my back!

the reds stand out so beautifully against the blues and greens! now that i've had a little tattoo and experienced the after-care, i've been wondering how you treat an area that large -- and that hard to reach. do your kids put the lotion on for you?

Nope, I just have gotten to be really flexible! ; )

Stunning, and its been so cool seeing the "work in progress" pics and watching it develop too... so what does your new love think of it all?

I think he was a little curious as to why I'd do such a thing at first. But the more he knew me, the more it made sense to him...just as it did to me. : )

If I can be so bold, I can quite imagine lying there in the early morning, watching the first rays of sun tracing their way across your back and highlighting the fish, or the dragons head and bringing it alive, and wanting to reach out and touch it in wonderment...

It really has been a coming of age thing for me...sort of a celebration of my hard-earned wisdom.

Hahahaha!! I can sooooo hear that! I'm missing the Crimes Against Kids Conference this week, but I was thinking about last year and how cool it was to meet you. Now you'll have to let me know if you're ever in the mood for a road trip north! : )

From: [identity profile] cathead9.livejournal.com

Yep, now that I've finally sold the house, I'm trying to talk Adrian into moving to Austin soon, like early next year. How long will you be down here still? We'll go to the record show in October......

My last day of work is going to be October 10th. I'm thinking that we're going to miss each other. If I'm remembering right, the record show is mid-October?

From: [identity profile] cathead9.livejournal.com

late October, this time. My birthday is on the 20th and the show is the 25th & 26th. Argh, I'll miss you......

Absolutely awesome. I'm hoping that last hour will take those ectoplasmic pseudopods down the side of your ass. I especially love the thought of you with your lawyer-suit and glasses standing before some up-tight judge, all the while knowing what lies beneath.

I'm not really big into tattoos (despite that Alexarc is covered in them) but yours is absolutely stunning. Honestly, it is.

I had no idea that Alexarc was covered with tattoos!?! How did I miss that. And thanks! : )

Good lord, that is so stunning. I can't choose which I'm talking about, the body, the tattoo, the tattoo, the body.

Gorgeous.

Very nice Cate. I particularly love the lady down on the bottom left.

I can't help wincing tho, I hate pain and needles, and I can't imagine having this done to me unless I was knocked out completely.

Good lord that is some amazing ink work. I was always sworn to just plain black ink lined stuff, but this changes my mindset about that entirely.

Thanks. It still sort of overwhelms me when I see the full thing, since I normally just catch bits and pieces of it through any given day. I really like plain black as well. It's a tough call, probably depending more on the artist than anything.

And, hello, by the way. : ) I'm so bad about introducing myself, but you sounded very bright and interesting and I look forward to reading your journal more.

From: [identity profile] ferretsofglory.livejournal.com

yeah probably the artist and the piece make a difference with it. I just always liked how black stood out :)

Hello to you too! I promise to be less dark and blah soon writing wise, just been some fun weeks here :)

Ha! No worries. I'm the reigning queen of Blah & Dark once in a while myself.

your tattoo makes me want to write - the curves alone make my senses stir in the same way investigating a new place makes me feel - i guess that is what getting a tattoo like yours almost is - inventing a new country to explore.

i am a friend of alchemi and anoisblue if you were wondering how i came across you.

What a wonderful compliment!! Thank you! (And thanks for telling me how you found me. You're right; I would have wondered.)
