I came here, stumbled in actually, through the beckoning finger of the always lovely Ms. RhondaK. This is a wonderful and fantastic place...and that's saying a lot, considering all of the places out there. So thank you, friends, for everything you have been, done, and become for me over the last twelve months. Amazing things have been forged here that will far outlast this place and this time--and that is a gift beyond all imagining. Oh, and in case you missed it and since it seems the thing all the cool kids are doing....you can go back in time if you're up to it. I am humbled by my luck in knowing y'all. Thanks ever so much.

Thank you , Cate ( and Mr. D)

How glad and thankful I am you "stumbled in" to this LJ world Cate...Although it's been only a few months now since I've been getting to know you here, I truly feel you have added a lifetime's worth of things that have broadened and enriched my world - in ways that so wonderfully accentuate and reaffirm the positives!

I very much enjoyed reading those first LJ entries -especially your reminicence of the time when the man from the "girlie mag" wanted you to pose...In all honesty, as I read it and pictured what you must have been like in those days, I had the very certain feeling that if fate had crossed our paths back then, I would have fallen hopelessly "under your spell"... being that in my younger days, I always managed to lacerate myself by pursuing women who were very much like you... redheads with the combinations of beautiful faces, great bodies, brilliant minds and very confusing (to me)mercurial, complex emotions...in other words the impossible!... "Ah, but I was so much older then, but and I'm younger than that now." So, thank the stars, you have been spared at least one troublesome man in your past!

And, to further make use of B. Dylan's poetry, I add this - which seems most appropiate:

I ain't lookin' to compete with you,
Beat or cheat or mistreat you,
Simplify you, classify you,
Deny, defy or crucify you.
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you.

No, and I ain't lookin' to fight with you,
Frighten you or uptighten you,
Drag you down or drain you down,
Chain you down or bring you down.
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you.

I ain't lookin' to block you up
Shock or knock or lock you up,
Analyze you, categorize you,
Finalize you or advertise you.
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you.

I don't want to straight-face you,
Race or chase you, track or trace you,
Or disgrace you or displace you,
Or define you or confine you.
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you.

I don't want to meet your kin,
Make you spin or do you in,
Or select you or dissect you,
Or inspect you or reject you.
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you.

I don't want to fake you out,
Take or shake or forsake you out,
I ain't lookin' for you to feel like me,
See like me or be like me.
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you."

And you, my dear J, are a perfect example of what makes this little corner of the net so glorious. I'm so glad to see you back. : )
