Powerful story. And I too know the burden of carrying names with me. An arduous but honorable task that one doesn't overtly choose to do. It just sort of happens because of who you are and what you do.

I've already told you I like this story. Interesting journal, nicely done, lots of names I recognise and comrades turning up on the biog page several times. Atomic Petals was there more than once as well.

Knowing the kind of work you do, I know where at least part of this terribly moving story comes from. As I read it, I went from casual interest, to sympathy, to dismay, to shock and horror, disgust and screaming anger... and, in the end so much sorrow, that I cried. That it moved me through all these feelings in so short a time, bespeaks of how well you write. That you wrote it bespeaks of someone who truly cares about so many things that just should not happen. The terribly grim and horrible reality is that they do; far too often and, far too many of us have become desensitized by their numbers. I shamefully admit that I do too sometimes. But, this story....
