Well, perhaps horrid was a bit strong...but I would have expected better from Jarmusch. I normally really dig his movies. This one just didn't live up to the interesting concept that the film started with. The whole gangsta/samurai thing had a lot of potential, but in the end I was left with a "half-baked" feeling. Also, the whole "noble ghost dog dies, little girl gets the book and shall carry the torch" thing was a bit trite (a la The Professional).
