As of yesterday, one of my favorite people on the planet and the only remaining member of ye old Texas spinsters club (Alas, I am now alone in that category! Heh!) is a married woman. I love her dearly and being with her through many of the bumps and curves in the road she took to arrive at this happy place makes it all the more amazing and beautiful to me...confirms my sometimes tattered, but always enduring, hope that love really does conquer all.

Happy birthday to my favorite dancing bear whose capacity for love and kindness I rarely comment upon, but I quietly watch his story unfold with hopeful eyes and crossed fingers that his heart's desire will be fulfilled.

And, of course, many happy returns to the ever wise-cracking Patrick who has brought me belly laughs and wry grins from the first day I ventured into this brave new world. You are a dear!!! *snort*

Hey there, big girl! thank you for the celebratory note. We returned Friday nite late and I just now stole a minute at work to check out your last month's journal entries. My laptop is still down for the count from the Sircam virus. (I would enjoy a colorful CC rant on the topic of people with no better concept of what to do with their intelligence than construct and launch viruses...) We must talk. You can call anytime now. Green Acres Telephone Company finally offered DSL, which means my phone line is no longer perpetually busy. Yay! I can't wait to hear how everything went! : )
