An interesting exercise. It's been a while since I've really done this, so I'm a bit rusty! If you don't see a reply here, I either need a bit more info or something came up that made me do a bit more involved reading and I'll email you.
Note: If you've added your question for me after I posted this, don't despair! I'll definitely get back to you. : )
anonymousblack The five of coins. You may be looking for help in the wrong places. You fear abandonment and loss, but you are overlooking something that may be very near to you. There will be setbacks, but a change is definitely in the wind. The short answer: compromise and very big changes for one of you. The question: who’s willing to give up the most?
salz The Lovers. The two are sometimes intertwined. Lust has an urgency about it that love weathers. Be careful of making hasty decisions in this part of your life for you may regret most whatever you left behind. The key is in recognizing the importance of the choice before it is made.
leisaie The Hanged Man. The mime would hear it, but he wouldn’t say a word.
flyingblind The five of cups. You need to quit being so hard on Sluggo and appreciate him for what he does provide. Sometimes we take others for granted without realizing how much we rely on them. He will be gone soon enough and you might actually miss him.
trisloth The three of swords. The three of swords can often be a card of melodrama, of perceiving things to be more hopeless than they actually are. There is the danger of becoming so attached to the idea of suffering that you allow it to define your life. Find your joy where you can, try to look at things with fresh eyes. You will get a better look at the value of what’s around you, so you can start deciding what’s really important.
chachachana The two of wands. A card of progression and restlessness. You have great dreams and ambitions, but be careful of trying to do too much on your own. You need the help of others to truly realize what you want to achieve. And, yes. You have. Probably a photographer or a reporter of some sort.
ginnymarie The three of wands. This is a card that speaks of building on your strengths and expanding your successes. You must be ready to act when the time comes. This is a card that belies a watchful readiness, even a wariness. The short answer: it could be as great a success as you imagine, but you have to go after it with open eyes.
jehosephat Temperance. The card of alchemy. You have a lot of opposites working in your life right now. It’s imperative that you find a point of active balance in your life. It is only from that point that all the other things will begin to come together naturally and almost inevitably.
nickelchief The eight of coins. Hmmmm…with the deck I’m using, I’m going to guess the 12th of August and the time may involve the number 9. Of course, babies are really not subject to any of fortune’s tyrannies. ; )
schpahky The Queen of Swords (along with the Nine of Wands). “The Widowed Queen Sits Alone” is in the background of this card. An older woman who has lost a man, someone whose loneliness is crushing everything around her. I’m taking this to be exactly who you probably recognize it is as well. This woman’s protracted mourning has distorted and destroyed her relations even with her own children. She can be bitter and selfishly obsessed with her own suffering. The nine of wands is a card of defensiveness. You may feel overwhelmed by the challenge that faces you, but you will have to find the strength in your own beliefs while looking at your situation objectively. Objectivity in dealing with this woman is the key. Your final battle will likely be learning not to get in your own way, in not letting fear cloud your reactions in your dealings with her. I suspect the rest will fall into place after that.
kalliope The Star. This is such a perfect card for you! It signifies hope and optimism after upheaval and chaos. You transcend your suffering without denying it and move on to the joy that you claim as your birthright. You move on and don’t dwell on old wounds, always looking to the future with a gentle, accepting eye. You are childlike and filled with the wonder at the journey. The short answer: everyone gets old, but you couldn’t be boring if you tried!
jourdannex An interesting request, for which I drew at random my own card. The Moon. The card of the unconscious, of dreams, visions. It also can signify fear and dark visions. I have had many such moments, so it would be impossible to choose only one. Some I have recorded here, others still wait to be told. Through it all, I have always been guided by my mistress moon and the concept of maiden, mother, crone. I am aware of my place on the continuum always. The motto of this card has served me well: “Be open to the fantastic.”
alchemi The Tower. This is a card of chaos and upheaval. There may be turbulent times ahead. The strongest message of this card is that you should not cling too tightly to what you know or think you know. You are going to have to learn to embrace great (and perhaps really painful) changes. If you do this, you will grow from the experience and ultimately reach a peaceful place that comes from following the new road. Clinging to the past will only delay the inevitable and make things more difficult for you. Accept the changes---no matter where they lead, or if anyone else follows.
tsarina The Princess of Wands. Whoa! Scary perfect card for you, Amanda. This is the card of an adventurous spirit. You lie awake at night unable to sleep because your head is buzzing with new ideas and projects that you want to undertake. The thrill of discovery and the search for new experiences is what drives you. Be careful of losing focus or momentum. If you can maintain interest and intensity in getting there, I’d say the chances are good for two transplanted Texans next year!
wailaki The two of cups. This card signifies a very deep relationship, an important life-changing relationship on the horizon. When the time comes, don’t keep yourself from giving in to the giddiness of new love. I believe you will find your home in a person, and not in a place. In the end, however, you will find yourself exactly where you want to be.
