Someone once said my eyes were the color of moss agate...my ears turn red when I get mad...show me some wit and I'm smitten...my grandmother's name was Billie, and yeah, she was that cool...my favorite flowers are violets...in another life, I would have liked to have been a milliner...once in a blue moon, I'll get a glimpse of myself in the mirror right before bed and think what a shame it is that I'm the only one looking...I bought mugwort and yarrow root on my lunch hour...I appreciate the subtle, but have no patience for the cryptic...I make some of the best cinnamon rolls you'll ever taste...I half-believe that wanting is better than having...there's a painting of me floating around somewhere by some Russian painter who was living in Mexico about 15 years ago...and I wear old velvet flowers in my hair when I'm really happy.

Cate, this is the best diary entry I'm seen in days and days. I may have to try Something Similar if you don't mind. Loved every interesting, lovely piece of info you put here.

You need to visit

Yarrow root is availble here at the Jockey Lot, the largest flea market in the south. I whisper the name of my true love, into the midnight breeze. Do you take honey in your tea?

Why, yes, I do take honey in my tea!

Oh, I'd love to visit! I bet we'd have a ball! : )

A quick p.s. with regard to your bio: Everything wonderful in this world relates to Mayberry! Yep.

Wow!

You sound great! Maybe I should look at myself in a different way...

It's said that the devil is in the details. If this is true, then so is God.
Thank you for this beautiful entry.
If I were not happily spoken for you would find me sitting on your doorstep.

That was beautiful

I'm glad I logged in today, if only to have read your entry.

~sigh~ ...and I so love to be cryptic.

I owe you a very long email... it's coming. Along with violets for your furs, of course. :)

Oh, I think you're spoken for in the best of ways by one of the best possible people I could think of. : ) I always wondered where that saying comes from...time to figure it out.

You may be as cryptic as you care to be, Doc. In your case, I will always make the exception.

I, too, loved this entry, CC.

And I think that I more than half believe that wanting is better than having. Though I have been cursed and blessed by both.

So true...I think we could both tell the tales of woe and redemption in that regard, couldn't we?

only he who desires is amiable, not he who is sated.
