Once I let my friend Gree stay at my house while he was finding a new place in town and one day he decided to do me a 'favor' and scraped all the acoustic spray treatment off the ceiling in the breakfast room, then kind of half assed textured it like a drunken monkey weilding a trowel... I came home and said "what's up?" and he replied that, "well everyone hates the way that acoustic spray stuff looks. Builders just use it to hide the fact that the ceiling is warped. So I thought I'd help you out and give it a better looking texture, at least this little part here so you can see what it looks like." I said, "Okay, it looks great, now what about the rest of the house?" He was silent. Now every time someone comes over the first thing they notice is the smooth, unfinished looking texture in the breakfast room and invariably inquire: "So what's with the ceiling in here?"
Hey, did you ever make it to Austin? Hope it wasn't too hot and humid :-o
