What a great story! It just amazes me that in this day and age, so many people are still so irresponsible when it comes to taking care of their animals (spay & neuter!!!!). All of my cats are strays that I took in. I'm planning on getting two dogs when I get my fence built--and they will come from the local animal shelter. I'd love to have a little pug or some of the other adorable breed dogs, but I simply couldn't live with the guilt of paying a breeder to make more puppies when there are already so many that need homes. Whew! Ok, I'm ranting...the whole point is strays/throw-aways deserve all the good lovin' they can get! : )
