In Cold Blood was quite chilling (no pun intended)...lately I've been wanting to dig out Capote's Christmas story but I can't find it...damn!
Archaeologist? really! I have my undergrad in arch/anthro...it was going on a dig as a child that made me love the field. What kind of site was your dad's?

It was this one (http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online/articles/view/LL/bbl13.html). Nothing spectacular, put pretty damn thrilling when you're eight years old! : )

Ollie!!!

Oh. My. Stars.

Jan just pointed this entry out to me because....

I have this thing for Oliver Reed...and the day he died people offered me condolences, like "We are so sorry you cannot sleep with him now."

Everytime I see his picture I say "Oooh Ollie...what we coulda shared." ;)

Re: Ollie!!!

Hahaha!! Excellent! That man just had something about him, didn't he? Something POWERFUL sexy. He sounded like a complete alcoholic wanker in real life, but I still adored him.

Re: Ollie!!!

That is *exactly* it. He had something, powerful within the eyes. And I am a sucker for the round eyed powerful men.

People kept telling me "but he is a drunk!"

And I know, he sounded like a right wanker...but Oh Ollie... :)
