It's cloudy today, not cool, but just a bit of relief from the sweltering summer heat to remind us that fall is on its way....fashionably late, most likely, but still planning to attend the party at some point. I've spent most of this week in court. I love working for myself, even though it's hard and scary on the money front still. I'd rather have pride than money, but pride doesn't pay my bills. Still, the gods have been kinder than kind and I always find a way to keep the lights on and food on the table.

I've started the "official" training schedule for the marathon in February. I always joked that I would run a marathon when I was forty, and it looks like I'll just barely make it, with one month to spare! Running in the heat has been brutal, but I'm determined to stick to the plan.

Yoga. Finally!!! Of all the things I missed the most, it was my yoga classes. I start again next Tuesday and I can't wait! It's amazing what a difference it makes to how my body feels.

Kids start soccer this next week. Let the bloodsport begin!

Life with my ram is good. Better than good; it's completely grand. It's the circle coming full, everything making sense again. I had almost forgotten what it feels like to be treated like I deserve. Hard lessons make good teachers and I'm thankful for anything that brought me to this blissful place.

And, finally, I have always removed deleted journals from my friends list because the name with the line through it makes me too sad. This time, nothing doing, [livejournal.com profile] mrmustard. I can't bring myself to say goodbye. My teen idol proportion crush on your journal will simply not let me let go, so I'll just leave your name there...in case you ever want to wander back in. I'm still in denial, really. Come home, little Sheba, and all that.

I have a feeling things will get better with the new job. It just takes time. *hug*

Maybe mrmustard ran off with the ketchup. (Sorry, I couldn't resist.) He did have some hilarious entries, that's for sure.

Again, I'm glad it is going so well.

I kill the dead journals too, but I have one or two I left there for far too long out of hope. For your sake, I hope [livejournal.com profile] mrmustard comes back. It's always sad to see a good journal die.

the loss of mr. mustard is too sad to think about!

i recommended to someone else that [livejournal.com profile] scouseboy, while not a replacement for mr. mustard, might help fill the well-written humorous stories hole on your friends list.

Wow, good luck with the marathon; I'll think of you when I'm biking!
